Mexico’s role as a good neighbor throughout the Americas

In today’s world of nationalism and protectionism, we forget the importance of our neighboring countries. Explore how Mexico is a valuable neighbor throughout the Americas.

Mexico is one of the United States’ closest and most valued partners.  The countries are economically entwined.  Mexico is the third largest trading partner with the U.S., and on any given day more than $1.5 billion in bilateral trade crosses the border.  Mexico and the U.S. are working together to enhance shared security by combating drug trafficking and transnational criminal organizations.  The United States and Mexico partner regionally and globally, including to address Zika and other vector-borne diseases, provide support for refugees and protect the environment and promote clean energy.

Beyond the important mutual relationship with the U.S., Mexico plays a vital role throughout the Americas. From helping natural disasters in Canada to helping economic growth and stability in Central and South America. Here is a collection of news stories highlighting Mexico’s role as a good neighbor throughout the Americas.
