Local Female Athlete Gains International Attention

Local athlete, Karen Jacobson, has received significant media attention internationally after CBS announced it will broadcast the SUP (stand up paddleboard) Ultimate Showdown tournament to be held on Waikiki, Hawaii.

The Puerto Vallarta Tourisim Board sponsored the professional surfer during the tournament circuit in Hawaii and California. The young athlete represents Puerto Vallarta and Mexico in the series of international competitions to rank the world’s top paddleboarders.

Karen, born in Puerto Vallarta, began her career at the age of 13 years old and soon conquered the highest role in SUP in Mexico and is among the top ten paddle . . .
