Coronavirus in Mexico: May 6, 2021 Update

Health authorities in Mexico reported 267 new deaths caused by the COVID-19, and 3,021 new cases, in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 218,007 and 2,355,985 confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

During the daily press conference to report on the progress of the pandemic in the country, Ricardo Cortés, Director of Health Promotion, explained that, between epidemiological week 15 and 16, the infection curve at the national level maintained a decrease of 10% in cases.
