PUERTO VALLARTA (PVDN) – One week after the disappearance of 32-year-old Michel Rubén Castro Guizar, who attended the Vallarta Pride celebration in Puerto Vallarta, his mother Bacilia Guizar pleads with authorities to accelerate the investigation and search efforts.
In an emotional press conference outside her house at 114 March 18th Street, October 12th neighborhood, Guizar called on authorities through the media to promptly intervene in locating her son. Fear for his safety has increased after traces of blood were discovered at his residence.
“The sheets were stained with blood, the pillows too. It appeared as if someone had attempted to clean the place,” shared the visibly distraught Guizar.
Michel Rubén, who suffers from hearing impairment, was last seen in the early hours of May 26th in the 12 de Octubre neighborhood, within the El Pitillal district. Information flyers distributed by family members highlight the increased risk to his safety, warning he may be a victim of a criminal act.

“I beg you, from the depths of my being, that the course of the investigations be respected and that we avoid falling into speculation which only amplifies our suffering. Every word, every gesture that we make must be in honor of Michel, with the sole objective of his prompt return,” Guizar passionately stated.
Her voice choked with emotion as she shared, “my heart clings to the hope that Michel will return safely. Yet, my soul does not rest because of the uncertainty and pain. The days seem endless, the nights are filled with tears and prayers. Michel, my son, I miss you more than words can express.”
Struggling to hold back tears, Guizar appealed to the media and wider community for continued support. “Please, I ask you, the community, and every person with a good heart, to continue supporting us. Please share the information, join our voices, and spread the word that Michel is missing. Together, we can make a difference and bring him back to us.”
Guizar announced plans to meet with the authorities of the Special Prosecutor for the Disappeared later this Thursday afternoon. Alongside friends, she will dedicate efforts to distribute posters featuring the search details. During this informal announcement, Guizar was unable to contain her emotions and began to cry openly.
