Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – In the spirit of Christmas, the president of the DIF System of Puerto Vallarta, María de Jesús López Delgado, extended heartfelt wishes for happiness and prosperity to families in vulnerable situations. These wishes accompanied the distribution of “Christmas Dinners” to those in need across various neighborhoods in the municipality, bringing a message of unity, hope, and love during this festive season.
Over the course of two days, in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Development, the initiative reached out to residents of rural areas, including Las Palmas, El Colorado, La Desembocada, Ixtapa, Campestre las Cañadas, Volcanes, Campestre San Nicolás, Bosques del Progreso, Playa Grande, Ejido Presidents, as well as neighboring colonies and delegations. President López Delgado emphasized the importance of family reconciliation, stating, “May we always be in reconciliation with our family.”
María de Jesús López, on behalf of the DIF Family, conveyed a message of love, peace, and gratitude to the beneficiary families and the altruistic individuals who support the organization’s noble causes. She expressed the hope that every hug exchanged during this Christmas season would bring healing and represent the blossoming of hope in people’s hearts. Additionally, she expressed her faith in the continued unity of hearts to benefit the Vallarta community.
This year, thanks to the generosity of local businessmen and compassionate Vallarta residents, more than eight thousand Vallarta residents were able to enjoy “Christmas Dinners.” Roberto Ramos Vázquez, the director of the Municipal DIF, expressed his gratitude and celebration, saying, “I thank the president. She wanted since she arrived, and she achieved it: for the families of Puerto Vallarta to have food on the table to share at Christmas.”
