Puerto Vallarta Invites Public to Fourth Edition of ‘Entrepreneurial Women Market’

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Municipal Women’s Institute of Puerto Vallarta is extending an open invitation to the community for the upcoming fourth edition of the ‘Entrepreneurial Women Market’. Scheduled for Saturday, March 2, the market will unfold at the Plaza de El Pitillal, as part of a broader initiative to commemorate International Women’s Day.

In what is becoming a thriving tradition for the city, the ‘Entrepreneurial Women Market’ aims to provide a vibrant platform for local women entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services, thereby enhancing their income prospects. The event, running from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., has already seen an enthusiastic response, with 65 registrations confirmed, underscoring the community’s growing interest and support for women-led enterprises.

Following the success of the past three editions, the initiative underscores Puerto Vallarta’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurial spirit among women. Maricela Joya Camacho, the director of the Municipal Women’s Institute, has expressed optimism about the event, encouraging women to persist in their entrepreneurial endeavors. The market will feature a diverse array of goods including beachwear, bags, footwear, jewelry, crafts, desserts, and woven decorations.

Adding to the market’s allure, the event will also feature a cultural program with performances scheduled throughout the afternoon and evening. Attendees can look forward to presentations by Mayra Arce at 5:00 p.m., Cristina Greseb at 6:00 p.m., and an engaging performance by Mahina Estudio de Danza Polinesia at 7:00 p.m.

This initiative aligns with the global observance of International Women’s Day on March 8, a day dedicated to honoring the fight for women’s rights and their role in society. The event not only celebrates women’s achievements but also highlights the ongoing struggle for equality and full societal participation.

In addition to the market, the Municipal Women’s Institute has organized workshops leading up to the event. On Thursday, February 29, the community is invited to participate in “Demystifying Romantic Love” from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and “Self-care for Women, Let Your Mental Health Be Your Superpower” from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., both to be held at the meeting room of the Municipal Administrative Unit (UMA).

The ‘Entrepreneurial Women Market’ presents a unique opportunity for the people of Puerto Vallarta to support local entrepreneurs while enjoying a day filled with culture, art, and community engagement. The municipal government encourages everyone to join in this celebration of women’s entrepreneurship and creativity.
