Puerto Vallarta Ceviche and Aguachile Festival Marks 10th Anniversary with Local Chefs

PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO – The beloved Puerto Vallarta Ceviche and Aguachile Festival is set to celebrate its tenth anniversary on Sunday, January 26, marking a decade of culinary excellence and community gathering. The festival, now in its seventeenth edition, has drawn over 30,000 attendees throughout its history, offering a showcase of creative dishes featuring the bounty of the sea.

At a press conference, Edgar Cisneros, the festival’s coordinator, reflected on the journey that has brought this culinary tradition to its tenth year. “This festival has become a cornerstone for food lovers and families alike, celebrating the best flavors of Puerto Vallarta,” Cisneros shared.

The festival will take place at Hidalgo Park from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., featuring an array of activities and flavors to suit all tastes. This year, 14 participating restaurants will present more than 45 varieties of ceviches and aguachiles, competing for the top honors awarded by an international jury. Unlike previous years, the competition will exclusively feature local chefs, highlighting the homegrown culinary talent of Puerto Vallarta.

A Family-Friendly Celebration
Renowned for its inclusive atmosphere, the festival continues to be a family-friendly event, offering something for everyone. Attendees can enjoy not only the delicious seafood dishes but also live music, craft beers from three featured brands, a variety of spirits, refreshing natural waters, gelato, and other desserts. The festival will also include raffles and surprises, adding to the festive ambiance.

The price of ceviche and aguachile samples will start at 50 pesos per toast, making the event accessible for all to enjoy.

A Community Tradition
The Puerto Vallarta Ceviche and Aguachile Festival has become one of the city’s most anticipated events, drawing locals and visitors to experience the best of regional cuisine in a vibrant, community-driven environment. Organizers are hopeful that this year’s edition will set the tone for another decade of success and growth.

Mark your calendars and bring your appetite to Hidalgo Park on January 26 for a day of unforgettable flavors, local talent, and community celebration.
