Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – A dramatic incident unfolded early Monday morning when a truck fell into the sea while its driver attempted to tow a boat at a local landing stage. The accident occurred in the Nuevo Nayarit area, part of the municipality of Bahía de Banderas, and prompted a swift response from emergency services.
At approximately 12:09 a.m., authorities received an emergency call through the 911 system reporting that a van had fallen into the water. The vehicle, identified as a gray 2004 Ford Lobo F-150 with license plates PD-7595-A from the state of Nayarit, was being used to tow a boat when the driver lost control. The mishap occurred as the driver was attempting to pull the boat out of the sea.
Civil Protection personnel quickly arrived at the scene and began recovery operations. After about 30 minutes of effort, they successfully extracted the truck from the water. However, the process of retrieving the boat trailer took additional time, with the entire operation concluding around 1:40 a.m.
