For the fourth consecutive year, Los Cabos will host the second stage of the Mercedes-Benz Trophy 2014 golf tournament. The tournament, with 12 years of tradition in Mexico and 25 years worldwide, is the most important amateur golf competition in Mexico. It will be held on May 17 at the Palmilla Golf Club.
“It is a pleasure for Los Cabos Tourism Board to sponsor this event, which showcases the beauty and diversity of Mexico’s golf capital”, said Eduardo Segura, Managing Director of Los Cabos Tourism Board.
The Palmilla Golf Club has a 27-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus that offers an unbeatable combination of desert, mountain and ocean environments. This amazing course, which features spectacular views of the Sea of Cortes, will welcome 80 participants of this stage of the tournament, one of nine stages overall.

Mercedes-Benz Mexico joined the Mercedes Trophy in appreciation of their loyal clients. In recent years, more than 7,200 players have participated in the event. This prestigious and exclusive tournament is a very successful tool to establish close contact with a very select audience. The Mercedes-Benz Trophy also offers participants the opportunity to attend the Open Championship, also known as “The British Open” or simply “The Open.”
The tournament features the following categories: Ladies 0-36 handicap; Men 0-13 and 14-36 handicap. The top three Mexico players will compete in the World Final, which will be held in Stuttgart, Germany and will welcome players from more than 30 countries.
