Purple Lights Illuminate Puerto Vallarta in Honor of International Women’s Day

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco— In commemoration of International Women’s Day on March 8, iconic landmarks throughout Puerto Vallarta have been lit in vibrant purple, signaling unity and solidarity with women in the local community and across the nation. The director of the Municipal Institute for Women in Puerto Vallarta (IMM PV), Sarahy Hernández, confirmed that several well-known sites—including the Plaza de Armas, the Aquiles Serdán open-air theater, the city entrance signs, and the Muelle de Los Muertos—have been illuminated since March 1, with the support of Mayor Luis Munguía.
