Four Puerto Vallarta Beaches Closed to Recreational Use Due to High Waves

PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico — The city’s Civil Protection and Fire Department has announced the closure of four local beaches for recreational use, citing high waves and strong backwash. Red flags now fly at Palmares Beach, Punta Negra, Burros Beach, and the beachfront near Hotel Rosita, warning visitors and residents alike to stay out of the water until further notice.
