Who we are
Vallarta Daily (PVDN) is an independent newsroom covering the places in Mexico where people live, work, and visit. We started with a Puerto Vallarta home beat and, over fifteen years, grew into Mexico-wide coverage of its most important destination cities. Our focus is simple: news that matters, not tourism promotions and not personalities.
What we cover
We follow public safety, infrastructure, environment, health, courts, local government, business, and the everyday issues that shape life in Mexico’s destination hubs. You’ll see regular coverage from the Pacific and Caribbean coasts and from inland cities with large resident and expat communities.
How we report
We source from primary documents, official bulletins, open data, and on-the-ground reporting. We read Spanish-language sources, verify facts, and publish in clear, accessible English. When something isn’t confirmed, we say so. When we make a mistake, we correct it—promptly and transparently.
What we don’t do
No opinion columns. No personality cults. No pay-to-play “news.” We don’t reprint brochures from tourism boards. If we ever publish sponsored material, it’s labeled as such and never in our news file.
Why you don’t see a personality here
You won’t find a CEO byline or self-promotion. Our CEO’s opinion isn’t essential to the news. This is a news site, not social media. That’s by design. The story is the point—not the person behind it. We keep the spotlight on facts, public interest, and accountability.
Our standards
Accuracy, clarity, and independence guide every story. We keep headlines honest, timelines precise, and context front-and-center. We avoid hype and stick to what readers need to know to make decisions and stay informed.

Why the name still says Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta is our home desk and where we learned to report for a community first. The name is our origin; the mission is Mexico-wide.
