Astronaut Scott Kelly is currently spending a year on the International Space Station to study how humans can endure long-term missions in space.
While Scott isn’t logging science reports, he is photographing the world at the International Space Station orbits earth.
Sunday the astronaut tweeted a photo of Soldier Field in Chicago for NFL Sunday, hours later the space station passed over Puerto Vallarta when Kelly snapped another photo and tweeted a hello message to his friends in the city.
This is Kelly’s third time on the International Space Station. His first visit was a Space Shuttle 12-day mission in 2007. His second was as Commander at the International Space Station on Expedition 26 in 2010.
Kelly has an identical twin, Mark Kelly, a former astronaut. The bothers are the only sibling astronauts to have traveled into space.
