Benito Santos to introduce 2017 collection in Riviera Nayarit

On June 10th, renowned Mexican fashion designer Benito Santos will introduce his 2017 Cruise Collection at the AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. The runway show kicks off a four week pop-up shop of his designs onsite at the resort that will include a selection of garments for sale from his new collection, sketches and an exhibit on his work in the industry.

His work is worn by leading personalities in society and politics internationally, including First Lady of Mexico Angélica Rivera, Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete, Victoria Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel, singer Anahi (for whom he designed the dress to wed the Governor of Mexican state Chiapas), actress Jenny Pellicer, and more. Benito Santos has performed in the most important fashion events in Mexico and Latin America and will present his Fall-Winter 2016-2017 Collection “Salón México” at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week later this year.

Santos leaped onto the fashion scene in 2008 at Intermoda, the largest fashion trade show in Latin America. Just 6 years after he launched his first line, the Jalisco-born designer is a favorite among women who love ultra-feminine dresses and glamorous eveningwear. For his use of new resources, cutting techniques and hand embroidery, Santos has been recognized for his valuable contribution to the fashion industry by being awarded the national prize for fashion in 2014.

Santos’ runway show will be open to resort guests complimentary. The Pop-Up Shop will be located in the Boutique at Grand Velas which also features other leading Mexican designers Jackeline Calderón, Pineda Covalín, and Taller de los Ballesteros. The show and fashion popup are another initiative in Grand Velas Resorts’ commitment to showcasing the best of Mexican fashion, art and crafts to its guests.

Also on the program on the 10th is the presentation of “Azul del Mar” from Melín Castro, a prominent interior and fashion designer from Mexico. She is also responsible for the interior design and branding of Velas Resorts in Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Maya and Riviera Nayarit and a Los Cabos property opening in November.

Rates start at $320 per person per night, based on double occupancy. All-inclusive rates include luxury suite accommodations, a la carte dining at a choice of gourmet restaurants, gourmet kids menu, premium branded beverages, fitness center, 24-hour in-suite service, taxes and gratuities and more. Complimentary swimsuit bags are for guests who purchase a minimum of two 80-minute treatments at the Spa at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit.
