Vallarta Pride 2016, We are One Family

For the fourth consecutive year, Puerto Vallarta will be the proud home of Vallarta PRIDE 2016, scheduled to take place from May 16 – 30, 2016. Under the slogan “We are One family,” the festival’s most important LGBTTIQ pride of the region, will be hold a variety of events, including art, culture, concerts, entertainment, movies, parties, and a large gay pride parade and fun for everyone.

Civil associations, private companies and the LGBTTIQ community comes together again to organize this event for a fortnight, which aims to honor and promote respect for sexual diversity in the city, region and state of Jalisco. The main events are free throughout the 2 week celebration.

Vallarta Pride 2016, ready for the rainbow of diversity

The Organizing Committee believes that Vallarta PRIDE 2015 brought between 15 and 18 thousand visitors to Puerto Vallarta, which meant an increase in tourist numbers by at least 30% over the previous year. Currently they are negotiated special rates with area hotels and airlines for those attending Vallarta Pride 2016.

Some of the events to be held during the festival of diversity include: Vigil at sunset, march against homophobia, women’s Party, Film Festival, Music Festival, Party in the Park, Derby Drag, Circuit Party and the Grand gay pride parade.

International Sunset Memorial Candlelight March
SETAC sponsored event joins Vallarta with the worldwide Memorial March. Come remember, celebrate and honor the lives loss with the entire world.

International March Against Homophobia

We are happy to welcome this important parade as Vallarta joins with the world to fight Homophobia. Come out and show the world we will not live in fear.

WEDNESDAY

Sunset Marriage Ceremony
This symbolic LGBT wedding ceremony is open to all who are interested in committing or renewing their vows. This year it will be a true marriage ceremony. Your wedding fest with family and friends waits, overlooking the ocean, complete with wedding cake (cost per person) finishing with a champagne toast.

Drag Derby and Opening Party
Kick off of Vallarta Pride’s main weekend by betting on your favorite Drag Queen and watch them compete for your enjoyment. A fundraiser for Amapas Neighborhood and the Pride Committee is sure to have you with uncontained laugher. The derby and block party highlights the traditional LGBT neighborhood of Zona Romantica along with the world famous Playa de los Muertos.
