PUERTO VALLARTA, Jalisco, Sept. 8, 2026 — Two regional hotel associations launched a supplier network Monday to connect more than 80 member hotels with screened product and service providers throughout the year.
Hospitality Supplier Network, or HSN, covers more than 20,000 rooms and already has 180 active hotel profiles, association director Daniel Torres said.
Those profiles do not represent 180 separate hotels. Torres said they belong to departments, executives, and other decision-makers within participating properties.
Local suppliers get a direct route to hotel buyers
HSN is a private-sector purchasing network rather than a government contracting program. Its immediate audience is local and regional businesses, not hotel guests.
Companies can seek placement in categories including furniture, hotel equipment, operating supplies, maintenance, housekeeping services, food and beverages.
Applicants must register and pass a review before entering the supplier catalog, according to reporting from the launch presentation.
Abel Villa Sánchez, president of the Puerto Vallarta hotel association, said the system would provide an “organized catalog of suppliers pre-verified by association personnel.”
The catalog will be available to purchasing departments, hotel executives and other managers involved in operational decisions, Villa said.
I reviewed the public launch materials and found no promise that registration guarantees a contract or minimum purchasing volume. The materials also do not identify the specific standards used to validate applicants.
For local businesses, the project offers a potential path into the hotel side of the Puerto Vallarta tourism economy. That includes maintenance crews, food distributors, refrigeration technicians, equipment dealers, and other companies that work behind the visitor-facing economy.
Network stretches across the bay
The sponsors are the Asociación de Hoteles de Puerto Vallarta y Bahía de Banderas A.C. and the Asociación de Hoteles y Moteles de Bahía de Banderas A.C.
The Puerto Vallarta association’s public member roster includes independent hotels and large resorts across the city.
The official hotel directory shows properties along Olas Altas in the Zona Romántica, Paseo Díaz Ordaz in Centro, and Boulevard Francisco Medina Ascencio through Las Glorias and the Hotel Zone.
Other hotel clusters extend through Marina Vallarta and south along the Carretera a Barra de Navidad. Across the state line, Bahía de Banderas’ municipal tourism directory covers Nuevo Nayarit, Bucerías, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and Punta de Mita.
The network’s regional structure could allow a supplier to approach hotel buyers in both Jalisco and Nayarit through one system.
Project moved from pre-registration to launch
The supplier initiative began before Monday’s formal presentation.
In June, the associations opened pre-registration under the working name Directorio Estratégico de Proveedores del Sector Turístico y Hotelero.
That June notice described a potential connection with more than 100 hotels. At Monday’s launch, Torres used the narrower figure of more than 80 affiliated properties. The available announcements did not explain the difference between the two counts.
“The goal is for this network to generate business connections throughout the year, not only during specific events or meetings,” Torres said.
The platform is active, and supplier registration is open, according to Torres’ announcement.
