Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco — In a coordinated effort to uphold public safety, a Multi-Agency Security Operation—referred to locally as “Base de Operaciones Mixtas” (BOM)—was conducted in various neighborhoods of Puerto Vallarta. Personnel from the Tactical Operations Group, the Naval Zone, the Mexican Army, the State Police, and Municipal Traffic joined forces to deter criminal activity and increase their presence in areas of high foot traffic and reported concerns.
The operation covered the neighborhoods of Guadalupe Victoria, Rincón del Puerto, and Villa Las Flores, where officers patrolled streets and avenues such as Ecuador, Medina Ascencio, and Prisciliano Sánchez. They also visited the Banco del Bienestar on Gaviota and José Guadalupe Zuno streets in the Los Tamarindos neighborhood, as well as downtown Ixtapa. These stops aimed to reassure residents and safeguard private property by discouraging potential antisocial or criminal behavior.
The security sweep concluded along State Highway 544, from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta, near CEINJURE Puerto Vallarta in the Santo Domingo neighborhood. According to official reports, the operation ended without incident.
Authorities emphasize that maintaining a visible, proactive presence in key areas remains crucial for community security. Local leaders have expressed gratitude for the collaboration among the various agencies and reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation to ensure public safety throughout Puerto Vallarta.
