PUERTO VALLARTA, Jalisco, Sept. 1, 2026 — Navigator of the Seas docked Tuesday morning, opening a September calendar with eight cruise calls at Puerto Vallarta’s Maritime Terminal.
The ship arrived from Mazatlán and entered Pier 2 at 7 a.m. It was scheduled to depart for Los Angeles at 6 p.m.
The official September port calendar confirms the berth and times. ASIPONA Puerto Vallarta labels the entire schedule tentative and subject to change.
Daytime activity around the Maritime Terminal
For residents, Tuesday’s most visible effect will be around the terminal in Zona Hotelera Norte, rather than across the city as a whole.
The terminal sits at Boulevard Francisco Medina Ascencio kilometer 4.5, near Calle Heroica Escuela Naval Militar. Its passenger access guide directs people returning to ships at Pier 2 through Gate 11.
ASIPONA lists taxis, tour guides, excursion sellers, restaurants and an artisan market among the services operating around the terminal. The ship’s 11-hour berth gives those businesses a full day of potential passenger activity.
Tuesday has only one ship on the official calendar. The month’s sole double-arrival day is scheduled for Sept. 23, when two vessels will occupy Piers 1 and 3.
Seven calls remain on the September calendar
Our review of ASIPONA’s posted schedule found seven arrivals after Tuesday:
- Sept. 10: Carnival Panorama, 8:50 a.m. to 10 p.m., Pier 3.
- Sept. 15: Navigator of the Seas, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Pier 2.
- Sept. 17: Carnival Panorama, 8:50 a.m. to 10 p.m., Pier 3.
- Sept. 23: Island Princess, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Pier 3.
- Sept. 23: Brilliant Lady, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Pier 1.
- Sept. 29: Carnival Panorama, 8:50 a.m. to 10 p.m., Pier 3.
- Sept. 30: Brilliant Lady, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Pier 1.
The dates and times come directly from the port authority’s calendar. Several secondary reports published before the month began listed different final dates, making ASIPONA’s current posting the stronger reference.
Cruise traffic remains slightly below 2025
Puerto Vallarta received 294,165 cruise passengers from January through July, according to figures attributed to ASIPONA. That was 0.8% below the 296,566 passengers recorded during the same period in 2025.
September’s eight scheduled calls are two more than the six reported for August. The total also matches the eight arrivals on Puerto Vallarta’s September 2025 cruise schedule.
Navigator of the Seas is scheduled to return Sept. 15. Royal Caribbean’s published Mexican Riviera itinerary lists Puerto Vallarta between Mazatlán and the return voyage to Los Angeles, matching the port authority’s calendar.
