The beloved open-air cinema event, Movie Picnic, is set to return on Thursday, November 14, celebrating its tenth anniversary for the 2024-2025 season. Running every Thursday at dusk from November through May, this season promises more movies, more excitement, and new experiences to share with your favorite people—and even your pets!
Hosted in the enchanting Jardín de la Luna within the Puerto de Luna hotel, located in the heart of Puerto Vallarta’s Hotel Zone, Movie Picnic offers a unique cinematic experience under the stars. Known as the city’s only “petate-cinema,” guests can relax on traditional woven mats while enjoying a selection of commercial films and blockbuster hits.
“Reaching our tenth year is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of,” says the event organizer. “We’re excited to bring the community together once again for nights filled with great films and unforgettable memories.”
General admission is affordably priced at $50 MXN, making it accessible for both locals and tourists. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good spot and bring along blankets or cushions for added comfort. The venue is pet-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry companions to enjoy the evening alongside you.
