Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco — In response to a recent human trafficking incident, the municipal government of Puerto Vallarta is set to instruct its Inspection and Regulations department to verify the operating licenses of local spas. This measure aims to ensure that these establishments are not engaging in human trafficking activities. The announcement was made by interim mayor Francisco José Martínez Gil, following the liberation of 14 individuals who were allegedly victims of human trafficking for sexual exploitation in the city.
