PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico — Canadian airlines WestJet and Air Transat are set to expand their flight offerings to Puerto Vallarta this winter, enhancing travel accessibility to the popular Mexican beach destination.
WestJet has announced a significant increase in its flight schedule, particularly between Winnipeg and Puerto Vallarta. The airline will now operate seven weekly flights on this route, a 17 percent increase compared to last winter.
In addition to Winnipeg, WestJet will offer flights to Puerto Vallarta from 11 Canadian cities, including:

- Prince George
- Vancouver
- Victoria
- Calgary
- Edmonton
- Regina
- Saskatoon
- Toronto

Air Transat Adds Flights From Montreal
Air Transat has also increased its offerings, with an additional flight frequency between Montreal and Puerto Vallarta. The enhanced schedule will be available from February 11 to March 25, 2025, coinciding with the peak travel season for Canadian visitors seeking sunny getaways.
This increased frequency will further strengthen Air Transat’s ability to cater to demand during the winter months while offering seamless connectivity for travelers from eastern Canada.
