Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco — The Special Regional Prosecutor’s Office of District VIII is investigating an armed attack that occurred early Sunday morning in the Los Tamarindos neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta. The incident resulted in the deaths of two men and left two others injured, including a teenager.
The attack occurred around 3:20 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Independencia, Las Palmas, and Pavo Real streets in the Ixtapa district. Initial reports indicate that the victims were targeted with firearms.
Upon arrival, municipal police discovered three men and a teenager with apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics confirmed that two of the men had died at the scene. The surviving victims were transported to a local Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) clinic for medical treatment.
Several motorcycles and three pickup trucks were found at the scene, all displaying bullet holes. Authorities secured the area under the direction of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to preserve evidence and facilitate the investigation.
Forensic experts and personnel from the Public Prosecutor’s Office conducted on-site examinations before transferring the bodies for autopsy to confirm their identities.
Authorities are actively working to clarify the events and identify those responsible for the attack.
