Vidanta and Cirque du Soleil announce spectacular aquatic show

Grupo Vidanta and Cirque du Soleil have announced the launch of a new show in 2021 that combines elegant aquatic elements with a memorable dining experience within the new Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta development in the Riviera Nayarit. This will be the 53rd creation for Cirque du Soleil and its 16th resident show.

Iván Chávez, executive vice president of Grupo Vidanta, announced the show during the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the Cirque du Soleil JOYÀ show in Vidanta Riviera Maya, where he also highlighted the long-term collaboration between the companies in the development of various entertainment concepts.

“Grupo Vidanta forever changed the entertainment arena in Mexico with the launch of Cirque du Soleil JOYÀ, creating an obligatory visit to the only Cirque du Soleil show in the world that fuses a gastronomic experience with a multi-sensory performance. We’re certain this new theatrical and culinary show in Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta will be an unparalleled tourist attraction, and it’s available only in Mexico,” he added.

The theme park will also encompass multiple artistic and acrobatic attractions, with outdoor entertainment so visitors can immerse themselves in the magic of the circus.

Daniel Lamarre, president and CEO of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, added that through a unique and long-term collaboration Cirque du Soleil and Grupo Vidanta have shared a vision of entertainment of the highest quality and captivating experiences.

“We’re delighted to embark on this second adventure,” he added. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase our creativity within the extraordinary environment of the Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta complex.”

These new world-class investments serve to boost economic growth in Mexico’s Pacific Treasure and expand options for luxury travelers.
