Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, October 26, 2026 – Puerto Vallarta has been selected to host Love México in October 2027, bringing wedding planners, travel advisers, and tourism suppliers together for an industry gathering.
The calendar published by the International Association of Destination Wedding Professionals lists October for the Puerto Vallarta edition, narrowing the initial announcement’s broader second-half-2027 window. Exact dates remain pending.
The selection was announced during the October 19–22 edition in Mérida, where local hotels, wedding organizers, and other suppliers represented Puerto Vallarta.
For the city, the practical question is how hosting the gathering could translate into work for local businesses.
Love México connects destinations and suppliers with professionals who help couples decide where to marry and arrange their celebrations. The organizer’s presentation of the Puerto Vallarta edition identifies wedding planners, travel advisers, hotels, destination management companies and tourism boards among its intended participants.
That creates an opportunity to reach people who influence bookings before a couple has chosen a hotel, ceremony venue or photographer.
For example, an overseas couple planning a wedding here might also need airport transportation, a welcome dinner and activities for visiting relatives. If they book those services locally, spending can extend beyond the ceremony and the hotel hosting it. That potential business connection is the event’s real value.

The report described participation in Love México as part of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust’s effort to diversify tourism and build international business relationships.
