With the arrival of forecasted Tropical Cyclone Howard over the next 48 hours, strong winds and waves of 1.5 to 2.5 meters of significant height are expected on the coasts of Guerrero, Michoacán, Colima, and Jalisco, in addition to Baja California Sur.
According to the weather forecast, Tropical Cyclone Howard will begin to affect Mexico with rains that could be accompanied by strong gusts of wind and lightning as early as Friday, August 5, and will continue with force throughout the weekend, with possible strengthening.
The National Meteorological Service shared a map with the possible estimated trajectory that Tropical Cyclone Howard will follow, which, if it finishes forming, could travel along the Pacific coast of Mexico.
If it follows the route that the map holds for the next few days, Tropical Cyclone Howard will move parallel to the coasts of the Mexican Central Pacific, its wide circulation will reinforce the potential for heavy rains in the south and west of the Republic, as well as in southern Mexico.
