The lifeless body of a female was located in an advanced state of decomposition within the facilities of what was the City Banamex bank located in front of the Puerto Vallarta City Hall along the Malecon.
The discovery of the body came as thousands of locals and tourists were in the area celebrating Halloween night on Puerto Vallarta’s Malecon.
The body was located by construction workers who noticed a strong odor on Monday afternoon, which came from the bottom of the facilities occupied by Banamex of the branch that is located on the street Juarez at the intersection with Ignacio Zaragoza in front of the Plaza de Armas and the Malecon.
People passing through an area looked inside one of the Banamex offices, detecting that there was a lifeless person inside, so they immediately proceeded to call 911. Security personnel with the tourist police and elements of the fire department detained workers and security agents for questioning.
The firefighters and the police entered that area, where they confirmed that it was indeed the lifeless body of a woman who had a bag over her head, so they suspect that it is a case of femicide and under this protocol carry out the investigations.
