For the next few days, it is forecast that strong waves will again be recorded on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta as a result of the onslaught of cyclonic storms that are pounding California, reported meteorologist Víctor Manuel Cornejo López.
Meanwhile, this Thursday an average swell of one meter in height is reported and the Red Flag was placed only on Camarone beach, said the director of Civil Protection and Firefighters, Gerardo Castillón Andrade.
While in the other beaches, there are yellow flags, which are indicative of taking precautions if you intend to enter the sea, while the red one determines that the beach is closed.
Strong waves have occurred along the beaches of Puerto Vallarta over the last week due to the effects of the “bomb cyclone” that affected the western United States, specifically in California, which is still suffering from storms and a new potential storm is expected to hit California again.
The director of Civil Protection stated that weather conditions are monitored daily to establish the preventive measures that are required. Likewise, he called on bathers to heed the instructions of the lifeguards, as well as the preventive notices and warnings they make about possible risks and wave conditions, among others.
