Puerto Vallarta (PVDN) – At least 4,000 spring breakers will arrive in Puerto Vallarta this year, bringing with them a significant economic benefit for the destination. This was confirmed by the manager of the office of the Municipal Tourism Directorate, Christian Preciado.
“We bring around 4,000 confirmed spring breakers with the holiday period, they are going to arrive at area hotels and also rent several villas in Puerto Vallarta, of course,” said the municipal official, pointing out that there are several companies interested in bringing this type of tourist to the destination.
Derived from the national and international attention that Catrina brought to Puerto Vallarta, the person in charge of tourism in the municipality estimates that this year there will be very good occupation and that the trend is that it improves over time.
“The expectation is high, since we have, apart from the fact that Puerto Vallarta with the theme of the Catrina has become very popular, because we have very good expectations, that the season here in Puerto Vallarta continues to grow and that there are no low seasons fortunately for us,” he added.
According to data from the Jalisco Secretary of Tourism, Puerto Vallarta received an economic benefit in 2022, of more than $40 billion pesos, receiving just over 5.9 million tourists.
