Puerto Vallarta (PVDN) – A man was injured by a gunshot during a robbery in the residential area of Puerto Vallarta. The attacker fled.
The events occurred shortly after 10:00 am on Thursday, at the corner of Avenida de Los Grandes Lagos and Río Papaloapan, in the residential area of Fluvial Vallarta, about 100 meters from where a group of tourists from Guanajuato was kidnapped in July 2020.
According to the first data, a man of approximately 45 years of age arrived aboard a vehicle at a convenience store, moments in which a man of the same age approached him asking him for directions.
When responding that he did not know the location, the subject who approached him, took out a gun and threatened him, demanding that he hand over all his belongings.
After refusing to follow the instructions of the gunman, the assailant shot him, wounding him, while the assailant fled walking calmly.
The wounded man, whose identity is unknown, was helped by a motorcyclist who passed by and took him to the nearest hospital, where he was stabilized and later transferred to the Regional Hospital, where he is being treated.
The whereabouts and identity of the aggressor, as well as the amount of what was stolen, is unknown; however, the police implemented an operation to find his whereabouts.
