The city has been nominated in five categories at the illustrious LGBTIQ Travel Awards Mexico 2023, celebrating its enduring commitment to pink tourism.
The LGBTIQ Travel Awards Mexico is a prestigious platform that acknowledges and promotes outstanding contributions to LGBTIQ tourism nationwide. These awards laud destinations embodying the spirit of inclusivity while delivering exceptional service and exemplifying hospitality excellence.

Voting for the nominees is underway at www.unetlgbt.org, continuing until October 10. The grand announcement of winners will be held at an International Gala on October 26 in Morelia, Michoacán. The event will witness the attendance of various dignitaries, including Secretaries of Tourism, luminaries from the tourism sector, and community leaders, among others.
Puerto Vallarta’s conducive ambiance and many LGBTIQ-friendly amenities, such as tours, festivals, restaurants, beach clubs, and bars, have previously rendered it a recipient of numerous awards and accolades on national and international platforms, including the distinguished Gay Travel Awards. The city has also been featured in significant listings like “Pride Trend Destinations Year after Year” and one of the “Best LGBTIQ Airbnb Destinations.” Furthermore, come November, Puerto Vallarta is slated to be a post-tour stop for the Gay Games 2023, a paramount sporting and cultural event advocating for LGBTIQ inclusivity on a global stage.
