PUERTO VALLARTA (PVDN) – In response to the escalating conflict between Israel and the Hamas group, the Mexican Government is orchestrating a humanitarian flight to evacuate its nationals currently trapped in the war-torn region. Scheduled to depart at 08:00 hours from Military Air Base No. 1 “General Alfredo Lezama Álvarez” in Santa Lucía, State of Mexico, the flight aims to provide immediate relief to Mexican citizens affected by the ongoing unrest.
Immediate Federal Action
The Mexican Army and Air Force will conduct this Humanitarian Aid flight, as stated in an official bulletin from the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena). This intervention follows a surge in emergency requests from Mexican nationals residing in Israel. According to Alicia Bárcena, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, the department has recorded at least 500 urgent pleas from Mexicans who necessitate intervention from their home country’s authorities.
Federal Government Expresses Concern
In an official statement, Mexico’s federal government has voiced its apprehensions concerning “the escalation of violence that this event has instigated between Israel and Palestine.” Unfortunately, The ongoing conflict has claimed hundreds of civilians’ lives. “These regrettable events should remind us, once again, of the urgency of resuming negotiations to reach a fundamental solution to the conflict in the region,” the government underscored in its release.

As of October 8, the Mexican Foreign Ministry informed that Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv remains operational, albeit with limited airline availability. Mexican nationals in either of the conflicted territories are advised to register their contact information through a designated consular protection form.
