The 41st Military Zone will host a public static aircraft exhibition by the Águilas Aztecas acrobatic squadron on Thursday, May 28, as part of Puerto Vallarta’s anniversary celebrations.
The exhibition is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on the military platform of Grupo de Base Aérea No. 6, inside the 41st Military Zone, next to Puerto Vallarta International Airport. Entry will be free.
Aircraft on display before the anniversary weekend
The event will allow visitors to see the aircraft up close and speak with the pilots who operate them. Military authorities described the exhibition as part of the program marking Puerto Vallarta’s 108th anniversary as a municipality and 58th anniversary as a city.
The format announced for May 28 is a static exhibition, meaning the aircraft will be displayed on the ground rather than presented as an air show. The public invitation said the event is intended to bring people closer to the work of the Mexican Air Force.

Puerto Vallarta marks its official anniversary on May 31. The date refers to the 1918 decree that elevated Las Peñas to municipal status and renamed it Puerto Vallarta. The city designation came 50 years later.
The published anniversary program also lists an Águilas Aztecas aerial performance for 5:30 p.m. Sunday, May 31, near the Letras del Malecón. Other scheduled events that weekend include civic acts, music, and public activities in the downtown area.
