Los Cabos Paella Festival Puts Scholarships on Menu

Los Cabos Paella Festival Puts Scholarships on Menu

Los Cabos’ annual paella contest returns in June with a sharper public purpose than a standard hotel food event. The ninth Festival de Paellas Los Cabos is scheduled to take place at Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort, where hotel teams will cook for guests and judges, with ticket sales directed to student scholarships. Organizers have released the ticket cap, price, and list of hotel participants, giving the event a clearer shape ahead of the June date.

Los Cabos Paella Festival to support student scholarships

LOS CABOS, Baja California Sur. The ninth Festival de Paellas Los Cabos is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, at Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort, with proceeds earmarked for scholarships supported by the Club Rotario Los Cabos.

Organizers announced 300 tickets for the event, priced at 1,500 pesos. The program is listed from 2 to 6 p.m., with attendees advised to arrive from 2 p.m.

Funds from ticket sales are intended to help continue educational scholarships for 19 young people. Organizers said the Rotary-backed program supports students in their academic and professional training.

Hotels and chefs join the contest

The festival is centered on a paella competition featuring teams from hotels and restaurants in Los Cabos. Participants listed for this year include Hotel El Ganzo, Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos, Hilton Los Cabos, Las Ventanas al Paraíso, Grand Solmar, Krystal Grand Los Cabos, The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa, Zadún, The Cape, and Pueblo Bonito.

The ticket covers paella tastings, wine, tequila, beer, canapés, desserts, and live music, according to event details released by organizers. The competition will be judged as part of the afternoon program.

Municipality says it will support logistics

Los Cabos municipal tourism director Ana Gabriela Navarro attended the event announcement on behalf of Mayor Christian Agúndez Gómez.

Municipal officials said shared mobility options, including carpooling and other transportation options, will be promoted to help attendees reach the hotel. No additional traffic plan was detailed in the announcement.

The festival is being held for the third consecutive year at Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort.
