Mérida will bring back its citywide Restaurant Week 2025 promo this fall. Organizers confirmed the VII edition will run from September 29 to October 5. Restaurants in Mérida and nearby municipalities will offer fixed-price menus that start at $199 pesos, with tiers at $299 and $499. A complete list of participants will be released closer to opening day.

Mérida Restaurant Week 2025 dates and prices

The city’s signature dining week returns from September 29 to October 5, 2025. Organizers placed the focus on accessibility and discovery, with special menus across Mérida and select towns in the state.

This year keeps three fixed-price tiers: $199, $299, and $499 pesos. Restaurants will craft multi-course menus within one of those tiers. The aim is simple—transparent pricing, easier planning, and a nudge to try new places.

Registration for restaurants is already open. CANIRAC Yucatán expects interest to exceed prior editions, though final line-ups will post closer to opening day. Officials from the Mérida city hall and the state’s economy office backed the effort at the announcement.

Organizers also noted the week did not run in 2024. The pause ends with this edition, which resumes the annual rhythm that helped put Mérida on Mexico’s culinary map.

Why this week matters for diners and restaurants

Fixed prices lower the barrier to entry. Diners can explore without guessing the check. For kitchens, the week fills seats in a shoulder period and builds repeat business into the holiday season. Local leaders framed it as a boost for employment and small-business revenue in the state’s food sector.

Past editions suggest momentum. Coverage in 2023 described strong turnout and a measurable bump in local spending during the period, a sign that promotional dining weeks can move the needle when well organized.

How to plan your week

If you want a shot at the most requested tables, plan early. Watch official channels for the participant list and posted menus, then lock in times ahead of the rush. Expect menus to showcase house standards and Yucatecan flavors crafted for first-time guests. Early previews this year point to a late-September launch with the city leaning into food tourism messaging.

Restaurant weeks have multiplied across Mexico, but Mérida’s model is steady: simple price bands, a defined window, and coordination between industry and government. That alignment helps explain why the format returns after a one-year pause, and why locals treat it as a celebration as much as a deal hunt. Regional outlets are reporting broad interest from restaurants across Mérida and neighboring municipalities.
