Tlaquepaque, Jalisco joins the list of new Magical Towns of Mexico

After receiving the recognition as a Magical Town, Tlaquepaque will concentrate on improving the urban image and tourist offerings.

"We have been working since the first administration: we modified streets, the whole electrical systems, and (for) that, we finally receive the name Magical Town, because from here we have to make many changes to the 42 blocks that make Tlaquepaque," said the Mayoress, María Elena Limón, in a television interview.

She added that they will work with the National Chamber of Commerce of Guadalajara (Canaco) and restaurateurs, artisans, hoteliers and other local tourism workers to preserve the distinction . . .
