Celebrating Mexico’s Independence Day in Puerto Vallarta

Mexico’s Independence day is celebrated on September 16 throughout the country, and as each year, the authorities of Puerto Vallarta in conjunction with the local businesses and organizations, have planned five days of activities to celebrate one of the most important dates in the national calendar.

This year, the variety of events commands all five days that extend from Wednesday September 13 to Sunday 17.

Wednesday, September 13

Civil Ceremony – Niños Héroes: Plaza Pitillal / 9:00 AM

Tourist Rally: Malecón / 9:00 AM

Kids Games: Parque Hidalgo / 9:00 AM

Food Market: Plaza de Armas/ 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Waiters Run: Malecón / 7:00 PM

Municipal Band: Arcos de Malecón / 7:00 PM

Baile del Reboso: Municiple Building / 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Thursday, September 14

Charro Parade: Calle Morelos and Malecón / 11:00 AM
