Authorities, for their part, regularly urge both locals and visitors to drive defensively, respect speed limits, and avoid distractions behind the wheel, especially at night and in unfamiliar vehicles. Back at the scene near Xplor, traffic eventually returned to normal after the battered Dodge was hauled away and debris was cleared from the median. No update has been issued on the injured woman’s condition, beyond confirmation that she was taken for medical care. For the many tourists who will drive the same stretch of road this week, the crash is a sobering reminder that even a short nighttime trip on a familiar tourist route can turn dangerous in a matter of seconds.
