Possible Tropical Storm Formation Threatens Southern Mexico with Heavy Rains

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - As the 2024 hurricane season looms, southern Mexico braces for potential cyclonic development, with a low-pressure system hovering off the coasts of Chiapas, Oaxaca, and Guerrero. The National Meteorological Service of Conagua has issued alerts since May 13 regarding the atmospheric disturbance, signaling a 30 percent probability of it intensifying into the first tropical cyclone of the season.
