Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, July 19, 2026 — Relatives and colleagues of César Ríos, a local real estate adviser, are asking the public to help locate him after he stopped contacting family and failed to return home or appear at work.
Ríos had been missing for about two days. That places the last known contact around July 16, although the public appeal reviewed by PVDN did not specify an exact time, neighborhood, clothing description, vehicle or official case number.
Ríos is described as approximately 40 years old, 1.60-1.67 meters tall, and slim. Relatives said he has diabetes and may need medication or urgent medical attention.
The family said his absence is out of character. He lives with his teenage daughter and had not communicated with relatives, friends, or coworkers after disappearing. He also stopped reporting to work.
A public professional profile identifies Ríos as a Puerto Vallarta real estate agent associated with Coldwell Banker. The profile confirms a history of working with properties in Puerto Vallarta and the Banderas Bay area but contains no current information about his disappearance.
PVDN found no public confirmation early Sunday that Ríos had been located. A publicly accessible Jalisco search bulletin under the shortened name César Ríos was also not found during the review.
The absence of a publicly available bulletin does not establish whether a formal report has been filed. Jalisco officials say search notices do not represent every reported case, since publication depends partly on family authorization and operational considerations.
Anyone with firsthand information can contact 911 or the Jalisco Search Commission at 33 3145 6314. The state’s Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in Missing Persons says search action can begin immediately and may be initiated with or without a criminal complaint. Tips should be directed to authorities rather than to unverified social media accounts.
The appeal joins an already large local caseload. State registry figures cited in earlier PVDN reporting on Puerto Vallarta disappearances listed 559 accumulated missing and unlocated persons in the municipality through April 2026.
No evidence of a crime has been made public in Ríos’s case, and officials had not released details about the circumstances surrounding his disappearance as of Sunday morning.
