Puerto Vallarta’s municipal rhythmic gymnastics team returned from Guadalajara with 75 medals and top-10 recognitions after competing June 3–7 in the Torneo de la Rosa.
The reported results include 11 gold medals, 9 silver, 10 bronze, and 45 additional finishes from fourth through 10th place for athletes from the Club de Gimnasia Rítmica de COMUDE Puerto Vallarta.
Four class champions for Puerto Vallarta
The strongest individual results came from Danelle López, Darah Aguilar, Ximena Aréchiga, and Jazzel Rubio, each listed as champion in her class and category in the competition report.
López won Clase V, Categoría C, with first place in manos libres and All Around, plus silver in aro. In the same category, Camila Lozano took bronze in aro, while Francis Pichardo placed among the top competitors in her division.
Aguilar won Clase III, Categoría A, with the All Around title. She also added gold in clavas, silver in pelota, and bronze in cuerda. Fernanda Félix finished as All Around runner-up in the same category and added silver medals in cuerda and clavas.
Aréchiga won Clase III, Categoría B, after taking first place in pelota, cinta, and All Around. She also earned silver in clavas and bronze in cuerda.
Rubio’s result was the largest individual haul listed for Puerto Vallarta. She won Clase III, Categoría C, and took four gold medals in cuerda, pelota, clavas, and All Around.
Team and individual results
Other reported individual medalists included Frida Serrano, who won silver in pelota and bronze in All Around in Clase IV, Categoría C. Mia Consuelos won bronze in manos libres, Angela Zavala took bronze in pelota in Clase Pre III, Valentina Gaviño won bronze in aro in Clase II, Categoría B, and Luz Rodríguez added silver in pelota and bronze in All Around in Clase II, Categoría A.
COMUDE Puerto Vallarta also competed with two Clase VI conjuntos. Quinteta A, made up of Fátima García, Lia Suárez, Catalina Elías, Esther González, Itzayana Castillón, Maia Fregoso, and Aitana Garnica, won silver in the aro and placed in the top group in other events.
Quinteta B included Samantha Mendoza, Ivanna Manzanares, Maeli Patiño, Ana Quevedo, Eileen González and Karla Soltero. The team placed in the top 10 in Manos Libres, Aro, Pelota, and All-Around.
A city sports program result
The result is tied directly to Puerto Vallarta’s municipal sports system. COMUDE’s public gymnastics program lists rhythmic gymnastics at the Unidad Deportiva Alfonso Díaz Santos in Colonia Bobadilla, with classes Monday through Saturday and competitive-team fees posted for families.
The athletes train through the municipal sports program in Puerto Vallarta, which serves children and young athletes in gymnastics and other disciplines.
The next point to watch is whether COMUDE or the tournament publishes a full official results sheet. That would confirm final placements across all apparatus and categories and show whether any Vallarta gymnasts advance to later state, regional, or national competitions.
The medal count also adds to a busier local sports calendar in Puerto Vallarta.
