SEAPAL Reports 305 Pipe Repairs in Puerto Vallarta

SEAPAL Reports 305 Pipe Repairs in Puerto Vallarta

SEAPAL’s first-half May report points to a busy repair schedule across Puerto Vallarta’s water and drainage network. The agency says crews handled leaks, broken pipes, clogged drains, bacheo, and other maintenance work in streets and neighborhoods. The numbers offer a closer look at how often local crews are being sent into the field and which parts of the system drew the most attention during the period. They also show where repairs overlapped with street restoration and wastewater maintenance.

305 Repairs in 15 Days Put Vallarta Streets in Focus

Crews logged 632 actions in 15 days

SEAPAL Vallarta said crews handled 305 water and drainage leaks or broken-pipe repairs in the first 15 days of May. The work formed part of 632 operational actions across Puerto Vallarta.

In the water distribution system, SEAPAL reported 250 leak repairs and 26 broken pipes. Crews also completed 122 bacheo actions after street cuts or excavation work. Another 91 jobs involved preventive or corrective maintenance.

Drainage work included clogs and manholes

Wastewater collection crews reported 22 leaks, seven broken drainage pipes, and 35 clogged drains. The same area carried out 35 manhole cleanouts and pumped 24 septic pits. Workers also replaced seven manhole frames and completed six bacheo jobs tied to drainage work.

Water distribution accounted for most of the pipe-related repairs in the report, yet both sides of the system affect daily service. Pipe breaks can affect pressure, while drainage clogs can lead to street-level problems. Street cuts can also leave pavement repairs behind after crews close the leak.

SEAPAL said crews built five valve boxes and replaced two others. The agency described that work as part of system operation improvements. Published reports did not list the neighborhoods where the valve jobs occurred.

Reporting leaks to SEAPAL

For leak reports, SEAPAL lists 073 as its customer service number for leaks, complaints, and service concerns. The agency also lists (322) 226-9191 and (322) 226-9190, as well as WhatsApp at (322) 105-8226.

Those reporting channels apply when small leaks, low pressure, or drainage clogs appear before crews reach a street. SEAPAL’s page says reports can be made by phone or WhatsApp. The agency also handles water and drainage service issues.

Vallarta Daily has previously reported on how responsibility for water, drainage, and other public services is divided in the city. In a recent Puerto Vallarta infrastructure explainer, SEAPAL was identified as the agency responsible for water, drainage, and sewer systems. Other municipal departments cover public works, garbage, inspections, and related services.
