Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, June 16, 2026 – SEAPAL Vallarta is advising residents and businesses in several Puerto Vallarta neighborhoods to store water before two drinking-water line works scheduled for Wednesday, June 17.
The planned interruptions are expected to affect Jardines, Marina Vallarta, Guadalupe Victoria, Fraccionamiento Seaport, and the commercial area of Las Juntas, according to a public water-service notice issued by SEAPAL.
The utility estimates that work will be conducted between 9 AM and 9 PM.
Areas affected by the work
The first work site is at Azalea and Margarita streets in Colonia Jardines. SEAPAL said the municipal Directorate of Public Works will handle that intervention.
The second site is at Las Palmas and Francisco Medina Ascencio avenues. SEAPAL said that work will be carried out by the Las Varas-Puerto Vallarta highway concessionaire.
The affected zones are not limited to the streets where crews will work. Water-network valves and pressure zones can extend the impact beyond the immediate construction point.
SEAPAL has previously explained that interconnection work is usually done after a new pipe has been installed and tested. The final tie-in to the existing network requires a temporary suspension so crews can connect the line without pressure in the system.
Planning around Marina Vallarta and Las Juntas
The Wednesday notice affects both residential and commercial areas.
Marina Vallarta and the Las Juntas corridor include restaurants, shops, offices, lodging, transportation businesses, and service providers. Restaurants and other high-use businesses should store water in advance and adjust cleaning, restroom, and kitchen operations if pressure drops.
PVDN has been tracking nearby infrastructure disruptions in the Marina Vallarta corridor, including earlier road closures related to SEAPAL work.
The Wednesday notice also comes during a broader period of water-system work in Puerto Vallarta. SEAPAL’s public works registry lists recent projects tied to Las Juntas, including the interconnection of a 10-inch line from Verde Vallarta to Las Juntas and work connected to the Pozo Radial system. Those projects appear in SEAPAL’s public works records.
In Marina Vallarta, SEAPAL reported in late May that sanitary-network rehabilitation and treated-water expansion work had reached 90 percent progress. That project is separate from Wednesday’s water-supply notice, but it places the same corridor under active infrastructure work. SEAPAL published the update after a site supervision visit in Marina Vallarta.

SEAPAL is asking users to store water in advance.
Residents should check taps early Wednesday and avoid laundry, deep cleaning, pool filling, and other high-use tasks until service stabilizes. Businesses in the affected areas should make a basic water plan before opening.
