The parade is a vibrant display of floats, music, costumes, and enthusiastic participants expressing their pride and solidarity. This year, the parade will be held on May 25, 2023, starting at 6 p.m (gay time). The parade starts at the Sheraton and goes down the Malecon and into the Zona Romantica.

In addition to the parade, there are various parties, concerts, art exhibitions, and cultural events that take place throughout the Pride celebration. These events provide opportunities for socializing, networking, and enjoying the lively atmosphere of Puerto Vallarta’s LGBTQIA+ community.

This year will also host the Gay Pride 6k run. On Sunday, May 21, the 3 and 6K race, “United for the Colors of Diversity 2023” will start at the arches of the Malecon, with participants going down the Malecon to McDonalds, and then back to Lazaro Cardenas Park and returning to the arches.

Puerto Vallarta itself is known for its LGBTQIA+-friendly atmosphere. The city has a thriving gay scene and is home to numerous gay bars, clubs, and LGBTQIA+-friendly establishments that cater to diverse interests and preferences.
