“Corazón Vallartense” Sculpture Exhibition Lights Up Marina Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – This weekend marked the vibrant inauguration of the “Corazón Vallartense” traveling sculpture exhibition, a mesmerizing showcase that has successfully captured the artistic spirit of Puerto Vallarta. Hosted along the scenic Marina Vallarta boardwalk, the exhibition has set out to invigorate the city’s public spaces, presenting an array of seven heart-shaped figures alongside nine captivating wooden horses.

Previously leaving an indelible mark at the Plaza de Armas, these sculptures have now made their way to one of the city’s most iconic locales, drawing attention and admiration from both locals and tourists alike. The initiative, aimed at beautifying and adding cultural value to the area, has already sparked excitement and engagement among the community.

Interim Mayor José Francisco Martínez Gil expressed his commendation for the Directorate of Tourism and Economic Development’s role in bringing this artistic endeavor to life. He highlighted Marina Vallarta’s long-standing significance as a key tourist spot and its vital role in the narrative of Puerto Vallarta’s evolution. “The exhibition is a vibrant reflection of Puerto Vallarta’s essence – a city of color, life, and heart,” Martínez Gil noted, emphasizing the transformative impact of the art pieces on the city’s landscape and its appeal as a tourist destination.

Jorge Antonio García López, director of the Marina Vallarta Residents Association, underscored the exhibition’s significant draw for visitors and the positive effect it has had on the local community. The collaborative efforts between various stakeholders underscore a shared commitment to fostering a dynamic, engaging environment that continues to attract visitors and enrich the local culture.

Christian Preciado Cázares, the city’s Director of Tourism, reiterated the municipal government’s dedication to integrating art throughout Puerto Vallarta, recognizing the city as a global showcase. “We invite everyone to explore and immerse themselves in the beauty of our city, reflected through each piece of art,” said Preciado Cázares. The sculptures, which have become landmarks in their own right, will grace Marina Vallarta for a month before transitioning to the Romantic Zone, allowing different communities within the city to enjoy and interact with the artwork.

The opening ceremony was attended by a host of notable figures, including Pablo Fernández, director of the Marina Vallarta concession company, José Ignacio Cruz García, manager of the Neighborhood Association of Colonia Emiliano Zapata, Councilor Tania Selene Maya Toscano, along with local residents, business owners, and municipal officials, all coming together to celebrate the launch of this significant cultural event.

The “Corazón Vallartense” exhibition not only serves as a testament to Puerto Vallarta’s vibrant art scene but also stands as a symbol of the city’s enduring charm and appeal, promising to remain a highlight for visitors and residents alike.
