Puerto Vallarta International Airport lists 43 arrivals and 43 departures for Saturday. A full-day review at 7:10 a.m. local time found one canceled departure, two Viva flights delayed by nearly three hours or more, and late overnight Aeroméxico operations.
Aeroméxico AM331 from Puerto Vallarta to Mexico City, scheduled to leave at 6:26 a.m., is canceled. The airline’s flight-status result did not provide a reason for the cancellation.
No arriving flight was marked canceled at the time of the review.
The overnight Aeroméxico AM58 from Mexico City reached PVR at 2:52 a.m., two hours and 32 minutes after its scheduled 12:20 a.m. arrival. The onward AM58 service to Tokyo departed PVR at 3:53 a.m., compared with its original 1:35 a.m. time. Its estimated arrival at Narita was 7:39 a.m. Sunday in Tokyo, one hour and nine minutes late.
Viva’s VB1166 from Mexico City was scheduled to arrive at 7:45 a.m. but was estimated at 10:56 a.m. The airline listed the flight as delayed by three hours and 16 minutes based on its departure from Mexico City.
The returning VB1167 from PVR to Mexico City was moved from 8:35 a.m. to an estimated 11:28 a.m. departure. Viva attributed both delays to adverse weather but did not identify the airport or weather system responsible.
Two smaller preliminary delays appeared later in the day. Delta DL1793 from Los Angeles was estimated to arrive at 3:22 p.m., 22 minutes behind schedule. Viva VB4345 to Monterrey was estimated to leave at 6:52 p.m., 19 minutes late.
At 7:10 a.m., the PVR conditions tracker showed clear skies, a temperature of 25°C, eight miles of visibility, and northeast wind at five knots. Its airport delay index was still classified as “excessive,” although that rating had last been updated more than an hour earlier. No airport-wide closure appeared on the boards reviewed.
The National Meteorological Service’s 6 a.m. forecast places the heaviest rain in central Jalisco rather than specifically in Puerto Vallarta. It warns that storms across the central Pacific region may produce lightning, wind gusts, and reduced visibility. Those conditions remain a watch item for later flights, but no current PVR disruption has been attributed specifically to weather at the Vallarta airport.
