Creativity100 Makes Mexico Debut in Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, August 25, 2026 – Creativity100 has brought its first Mexican edition to Puerto Vallarta, placing a sold-out group of advertising buyers, agency executives, media companies, technology firms and production specialists at the Westin hotel in Marina Vallarta through Wednesday.

The invitation-only gathering began Monday and uses a dealmaking schedule instead of a public conference floor. The official event program lists 20-minute group presentations to panels of 10 buyers, 30-minute plenary sessions, prearranged one-on-one appointments, shared meals and a closing show. Organizers describe two days of continuous contact, followed by breakfast and departures on Wednesday.

Event manager Carolina Racchella said ahead of the opening that the Mexican edition would assemble 50 advertising buyers. The organizer’s event channel later said 18 creative and media companies would take part. That makes the gathering compact when compared with a trade expo, but its schedule keeps buyers and vendors in the same property throughout most of the three-day program.

Industry publication Roastbrief reported that TelevisaUnivision, Havas, FCB Newlink, Tombras, R/GA, Findasense, Samy, Super and other suppliers joined as sponsors. Topics promoted by the organizer include AI advertising, digital marketing, social media, influencer campaigns, audiovisual production, content and press. Focus Media Events says it has staged more than 350 events across 11 countries during more than three decades.

Puerto Vallarta’s role is less about the advertising content than the structure of the trip. All meetings, meals and networking are concentrated at a resort on Paseo de la Marina Sur, a short drive from the airport. Marriott’s venue listing identifies 18 event rooms at the property and a largest-room capacity of 600 people.

That hotel-based model is one piece of the city’s meetings business. Puerto Vallarta’s official meetings inventory lists more than 22,500 hotel rooms, over 45,000 square meters of event space and more than 30 hotels equipped to host groups. Creativity100 uses only a fraction of that inventory. Its schedule shows the other end of the market from a 5,000-person convention, with lodging, appointments and social activities held at one resort.

The timing also gives Vallarta two business gatherings in quick succession. Creativity100 ends Aug. 26. Four days later, IBX Américas 2026 opens at Meliá Puerto Vallarta, bringing tourism suppliers and buyers from Latin America, the United States, Spain and Portugal together from Aug. 30 through Sept. 2.

Creativity100’s published schedule places its closing dinner and show on Tuesday night, followed by breakfast and departures Wednesday. The gathering is closed to the public, and the organizer reported that the first Mexico edition sold out before opening.
