Nuevo Nayarit, Nayarit, June 17, 2026 – Bahía de Banderas is inviting residents and visitors to start Sunday on the beach with a public yoga session at Playa Villa Varadero in Nuevo Nayarit.
The session is scheduled for 7:15 a.m. Sunday, June 21, is International Yoga Day. The municipal sports department is asking participants to wear comfortable sports clothing and a white shirt, and to bring a yoga mat or a large towel.
The session is free and requires no registration.
Morning yoga on the beach
This is the kind of event that you would expect from Nuevo Nayarit. Early, simple, and close to the water. The start time is planned perfectly; mornings are usually the best window before the heat builds and afternoon rain becomes more likely.
Playa Villa Varadero is within the Nuevo Nayarit hotel zone, so the event may draw a mix of nearby residents, hotel guests, and visitors from Bucerías, Jarretaderas, Mezcales, or Puerto Vallarta.
Anyone planning to attend should arrive a little early, especially if they are not familiar with beach access points near the hotels. A towel will work if you do not have a yoga mat.
The session is tied to International Yoga Day, observed each year on June 21. Around the bay, these smaller public events have become part of the early summer calendar, especially as municipalities look for low-cost activities that work for both locals and visitors.
Readers looking for more local activities can follow PVDN’s Puerto Vallarta events calendar.
