Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, July 6, 2026 – A free Ximena Sariñana concert brought more than 2,500 people to the beachside Vibra Jalisco Fan Zone next to Puerto Vallarta’s Hotel Zone, turning the World Cup viewing site into one of the city’s larger public entertainment draws of the summer.
The Saturday night show gave the venue a different kind of test. The Fan Zone has already been used for match broadcasts, but the Sariñana concert showed how the state-backed program can pull crowds even when the main attraction is music rather than a national-team game. The attendance figure reported the concert drew more than 2,500 people to the beach area beside the Hotel Zone.
Guadalajara is Jalisco’s host city, but Puerto Vallarta has served as a coastal extension of the state’s World Cup calendar, with free concerts, match screenings, food stands, and public activities held near Playa Camarones and the Hotel Zone. PVDN previously covered the opening of Puerto Vallarta’s fan zone for Mexico’s World Cup debut, when the venue began operating as one of the city’s main public gathering points for the tournament.
Sariñana performed July 4 at the beachfront venue near the Sheraton Buganvilias and the Agustín Flores Contreras sports complex. Her set included songs such as “De ALV,” “¿Qué tienes?,” “Tú te vas,” “Cuento,” “Vidas Paralelas,” “Aire Soy,” and “Mis Sentimientos,” the Los Ángeles Azules collaboration that became one of the night’s biggest sing-along moments.
The official Puerto Vallarta tourism listing describes Vibra Jalisco Zona Fan Puerto Vallarta as a 39-day program running from June 11 to July 19, with 50 match broadcasts, giant screens, music, a food zone with more than 40 stands, and the Domósfera Vallarta immersive space. Entry to the Fan Zone is free, though food, drinks, and some experiences may carry separate costs.
Concert and match nights can add pedestrian movement, taxis, rideshare pickups, and parking pressure around Francisco Medina Ascencio, Playa Camarones, the Sheraton area, and nearby access points into 5 de Diciembre. The official tourism page advises attendees not to bring glass bottles or sharp objects, to arrive early, and to follow posted evacuation routes and staff instructions.
Puerto Vallarta opened the summer vacation period with hotel occupancy only slightly above 60%, below what some tourism operators had hoped for at the start of July, according to PVDN’s recent report on summer demand. Free evening programming near the Hotel Zone offers hotels, restaurants, taxis, and beach-area businesses another way to attract foot traffic during a slower early-season stretch.
More Fan Zone programming is scheduled before the World Cup period ends. The Jalisco tourism calendar lists Jumbo, Los Amigos Invisibles, and James Maslow for July 8; DJ Paulina Ricci for July 11; Los Rabiosos del Norte for July 17; and Save the Rabbits for July 18. Schedules can change, so people planning to attend should check the official event pages before heading to the venue.
