Monterrey, Nuevo León – An armed robbery at a well-known social event venue in the southern part of Monterrey, Nuevo León, has left one person injured and authorities scrambling to locate the suspects and recover high-value stolen property.
The violent incident occurred Friday morning at Terrazo, located on 102 Los Pingos Street, in the Los Cristales neighborhood—just 200 meters from the National Highway. According to preliminary reports, three armed men stormed the premises and carried out a robbery that netted them a significant haul.
Armed and Dangerous
The suspects, all reportedly carrying handguns, entered the office area of the Terrazo venue and used force to subdue those present. A male employee was violently attacked, sustaining multiple head injuries after being struck with the butt of a pistol. Emergency responders treated the man at the scene before transferring him to a nearby hospital.
The attackers made off with approximately 400,000 pesos in cash, a Mercedes Benz, high-end designer watches, and valuable jewelry.

Authorities have released initial descriptions of the perpetrators, based on eyewitness testimony:
- Suspect 1: Approximately 55 years old, wearing a face mask, with dark skin.
- Suspect 2: Around 65 years old, of slim build, with dark skin.
- Suspect 3: Estimated to be 40 years old, also slim and with a dark complexion.

Investigation Underway
Ministerial agents, Civil Force officers, and Forensic Services teams responded to the scene shortly after the crime was reported. Investigators have cordoned off the area and are analyzing security footage and forensic evidence from the site.
It was also confirmed that the criminals fled the scene in the stolen Mercedes Benz, which remains missing as of press time. The vehicle is believed to be a dark-colored luxury model, and authorities have issued a regional alert to help track it down.
Community Concerns and Police Response
The robbery has rattled residents and business owners in Los Cristales, an area known for its tranquil setting and proximity to major city access points. Given the level of violence and the value of the items stolen, police are treating the case as organized and premeditated.
Officials from the Nuevo León Attorney General’s Office have stated that all efforts are being mobilized to identify and capture the suspects. They are urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspects’ whereabouts to contact the anonymous crime hotline or report directly to the authorities.
Rising Crime in Monterrey’s South
The event underscores growing concerns about violent crime in Monterrey’s southern districts, where proximity to major transit routes like the National Highway makes high-value targets more accessible to criminals. Local authorities are facing increasing pressure to improve surveillance and patrol coverage in these semi-rural areas, where commercial properties like Terrazo often serve as both event venues and administrative offices.
No Arrests Yet
As of now, no arrests have been made. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility that the robbers had inside knowledge of the venue’s operations or cash handling routines. The injured employee is expected to make a full recovery, according to medical personnel.
