PUERTO VALLARTA, Jalisco, Sept. 17, 2026 — Flair Airlines will launch weekly nonstop service between Montreal and Puerto Vallarta on Dec. 16, adding its fifth Canadian gateway to the city this winter.
The flight will connect Montreal-Trudeau International Airport with Puerto Vallarta’s Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport. Flair announced one-way fares starting at C$269.
The same expansion adds Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, from Montreal on Dec. 18 and Toronto on Dec. 19. Those routes will operate up to twice weekly.
A new Quebec connection for Puerto Vallarta
The Montreal flight gives Quebec residents and seasonal visitors another nonstop option to Puerto Vallarta. It also adds weekly international capacity at PVR during the winter tourism season.
Flair said Montreal will become its fifth Canadian origin serving Puerto Vallarta. The airline’s current Puerto Vallarta schedule also lists Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto.
Passengers will arrive at the airport between Marina Vallarta and Las Juntas. The flight adds limited weekly capacity rather than daily service.
We checked Flair’s booking system Thursday and found Montreal-Puerto Vallarta inventory for December and January. The airline warns that availability and displayed prices can change.
The additional flight comes during a downturn in Puerto Vallarta’s international passenger traffic.
Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico’s August traffic report recorded 119,200 international passengers at PVR. That was down 26.3% from 161,800 in August 2025.
Total airport traffic fell 10.3% for the month, from 475,800 to 426,900 passengers. International traffic was down 19.7% during the first eight months of 2026.
PVDN reported this month that international passengers accounted for most of the August decline.
Puerto Plata joins Flair’s winter network
Puerto Plata is a separate destination from Puerto Vallarta. Puerto Plata uses the airport code POP and is on the Dominican Republic’s northern coast. Puerto Vallarta uses PVR and is on Mexico’s Pacific coast.
Flair will operate Montreal-Puerto Plata flights twice weekly beginning Dec. 18. Toronto service starts Dec. 19 and will operate up to twice a week.
The airline announced introductory one-way fares of C$279 from Montreal and C$249 from Toronto. Air-only tickets and vacation packages will be offered.
“Canadians want more choice when they travel, and these new routes give them another nonstop option to the sun at a great value,” Flair CEO Len Corrado said in the route announcement.
The airline’s official Puerto Plata booking page now lists both Montreal and Toronto as departure points.
Fare and schedule conditions
Flair states that its displayed fares are one-way and nonrefundable, with taxes included. Charges may apply for baggage, seat selection, and other optional services.
The airline said all schedules are subject to change. Travelers should confirm operating dates and the full ticket price before booking.
